From our beach resort we journey toward Ratchaburi province stopping enroute at a home – made sugar cane factory – a major crop grown and harvested in these parts. On arrival at Damnern Saduak, we board our boat for a fascinating cruise through the canals (Klong) leading to the market. Catch a glimpse here teetering on the major sellingpoint everyday. Driving back to explore Petchaburi, the impressive summer residence “Khao Wang” on the hillside, built by King Mongkut (Rama IV) in the last century. As top here will afford time to visit the palace and enjoy a fine vista of the town, and surrounding rice fields.
